how about some politics?

I generally keep my political opinions to myself and prefer listening to people rather than stating my opinions when it comes to politics. But for once, i was truly happy when the UPA won the vote of confidence. For one, our PM, Manmohan Singh is one of my favorite politicians. I mean ok, chosing a favorite politician is like chosing from among a mob of bad people who is better among them all, but still, I do like him, as a person and as a politician. True, prices have risen during his regime, the middle class did bear the brunt, but then again, who can guarantee this wouldnt have happened if some other party was in power?!
The PM's reaction after the vote of confidence, especially this:

mma_PM_Manmohan/articleshow/3265909.cms"
is something i enjoyed reading. This is the way to get back (if you have to) at someone, rather than cursing the person or disrupting the parliament sessions.
But yes, im happy that the nuclear deal will atleast hopefully see light.

I must say I have strong words for this post.I am happy the govt survived for other reasons:Namely because they have hardly 3 months to complete their term. And the BJP is not really opposed to the Nuclear deal in actuality.

But to say Manmohan Singh is a good PM is not what I agree.Firstly, he is not a member of the Lok Sabha...Morally he should not become the PM though the constitution does not state this. This also means he could not vote in order to save his own government. And that too if we may call its own!!He seems to be a mere puppet in the hands of the AICC chief and/or supremo whom I may not name.
You missed the Lok Sabha session--he hardly spoke to say the least!!

yes, i did miss the lok sabha session, and just caught snippets of it later but i still stand by my opinion of he being one of the better politicians we have. And yes, i do agree of all the 'technicalities' behind he being the PM, but then i do not agree that he is the puppet in the hands of anybody. His being a silent observer and a person of actions rather than words give him that kind of image.
And yes, the BJP cant really afford to oppose the N-deal...but then that does not mean they fully support it....Their initial comments regarding the deal make me feel that had the BJP been in power, this deal would not have happened, or else, would have seen a lot of 'unnecessary' conflicts based on issues BJP is famous for raking up!

i "support" neither of the party, but when it comes to me casting my vote, one has (which one, il keep it to myself!) a slight edge over the other!
